A love of pickleball and a desire to help the sport evolve are important qualities for the right franchise owner candidate. We also look for candidates who are integrated in the local pickleball community and who have a willingness to be coached by sports facility management experts. A strong work ethic and natural talent to engage with others also make a difference. You do not need previous experience in management or operating a pickleball club facility. We are prepared to offer training, support and resources that can help you grow your sports club franchise effectively.

Initial training for you and two team members includes a five-day session with our experienced leadership team at our Idaho headquarters. Our franchise coaches will also spend three to five days at your location to help you and your team prepare to launch your business. An exclusive construction playbook and operating manual give you access to tools, resources and a network of suppliers to help you operate your business to your highest potential.

Timelines vary based on location and facility development but typically range from 18-24 months.

Our estimated investment ranges from $1,341,800 to $4,450,000, including a $50,000 franchise fee.

We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case-by-case basis.

Franchise owners pay a 6% royalty fee based on gross revenues. These fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services, training programs and more. For a full list of fees and requirements, please refer to our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

Franchise owners contribute up to 2% of gross revenues into a brand marketing fund, not to exceed 3%. We use collected funds to develop marketing strategies and campaigns to promote The Flying Pickle brand. Franchise owners must spend a minimum of $20,000 on grand opening promotions beginning 60 days prior to opening and continuing for 30 days after launch. A minimum of $2,000 per month must be spent on local marketing for the first six months after launch. Starting the seventh month of operation, owners contribute an ongoing minimum fee of $1,000 per month into the fund.

The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with two subsequent successor agreement options of five years each.
